    In short 1.5 will allow you to run homebrew games and emulators. anything above 1.5 will not.

    Only problem is most new games will require you to upgrade to run them.
    Personally, it's not a problem as I think there's enough high quality games out there to keep me happy (pity about the price though)...

    No, if we could only get sony to allow mpeg, mpg, avi formats to be playable without converting first it would be perfect...
