sky+ and DVD recorder problems - help!?

I have a Sky+ box connected to a sony widescreen tv and a DVD recorder as follows:

    Sky+ boxTV output <SCART cable> TV
Sky+ box VCR output <SCART cable> DVD Recorder input.

    DVD recorder <Scart cable> TV

When I try to copy video from the sky box I seem to be getting the same output on both scart ports on the back of it. i.e. the video being sent out to the DVD player is exactly the same as what's being sent to the TV. i.e. the normal sky box output not continious playout video

    Any ideas?

    Am I doing something wrong?

The VCR connector on Sky box is MEANT to output the same as SCART to TV when Sky Box is running.

How would it be anything else? The Sky+ may have two tuners, but like the regular Sky Box has only one MPEG decoder / Analog output.

What you see on TV is what the VCR would record. Either live TX or HD payback. Unless I have misunderstood something.

I thought when you marked recorded items COPY... then press select in the sky+ planner that it's supposed to do a continious play out via the VCR port.

    ??

i thought the Copy function just played whatever progs you had selected.
it even tells you in the manual that you cannot use the sky+ box whilst it is Copying???
