The Census Thing

    I saw this add in the paper the other day wanting people to help with the census and it said its in april/may 2006 and that you can earn up to 2000 yoyos. anyone know anything about this? sounds good but i dont wanna volunteer for anything without a bit more info!

    Same. I think you just have to go around from door to door handing out the census thingies.

    i dont mind that at all - im anyones for 2 grand lol but i wonder where you can get more info. i mean i dont mind doing it say one evening a week but dont want to sign up and realise that they expect me to do it all day every day

    Its a tough job. I remember my mother doing it years ago and it stressed her out no end. You don't just have to hand out the forms. You have to make sure every house fills them out and properly too.
    That means if there are illiterate people (some of the travelling community) you will have sit with them and fill it out yourself.
    You also have to deal with some very awkward people who don't want to fill it out. I remember my mother visiting a house and the women put her profession down as "witch" and she was for real.

    You have to have every form for every house completed properly and that can be a lot of trouble.

    Just trying to let you know the negative side of it.
