    New Yorks pretty amazing on it if you've been & know a few landmarks. Mess about with 3d buildings & user locations.

    They have some parts in 3-D such as famous mountains and water falls. Also one of the prgrammers snuck in some verses of the Koran near the grand canyon.

    Everything is in 3D once you have terrain switched on. If you adjust its value in the options to 1.5 you get a much better idea... Go down to Kerry, hold down your middle mouse button, push the mouse forward and behold.

    I used it to plan my trip through Ontario, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland. Found lots of things I wanted to see that I might otherwise have missed.

    I think I've found it. How do you post those location links for Google Earth?

    <Edit>
    Search for Groom Lake, they'll give you a place called Little A'Le'Inn, zoom out and go west over the mountain thing. There's a lake there and south of the lake, is what I think is Area 51.

    What do you think?

    Or just type "area 51" into the search bar. Why does everyone have to do things the complicated way!

    Keep an eye out for JLo's bum.

    On a more serious note, Maxim has built a 75 by 100ft billboard viewable from Google Earth for their 100th issue. It was constructed in the desert outside of Las Vegas. It was constructed on the ground, photographed and made viewable in Google Earth through an overlay file.
