so im playing online in a $10 STT as well as a cash game.

in the STT Im dealt J7o on the button.

I Alt+Tab and accidently click the call button calling a raise of 80 when blinds are 10/20. BB re-raises to 140. I dont know why but i felt hey im in for 140 so might as well call (maybe i should do the decent thing and fold but jesus ive had enough crap thrown at me this year that my feelings on decency are fast waning)

the flop hits J7x.
BB checks (totally slowplaying and smelling of AA), intial raiser bets 100. I raise to 200 and BB pushes. initial raiser calls and im all in to take down the pot.

of course the abuse i got was something else, but it has me thinking on should i have laid down the reraise and do the decent thing?

I was double tabling a $3 rebuy and a $198 rebuy....big tick me somehow managed to get the tables mixed up and a couple of $198 re buys later I coped on.I lost a very good cup that day...then the next day I cut myself on a piece of the broken glass.

I was two tabling 2/5NL on betfair a while back, was clicking on the hidden screen as it became my turn and I hit the all in button for $580 with 92o preflop, utg had minraised. Luckily he folded

In answer to the OP's question: Play however the fúck you want. there's no right or wrong in poker, and "decency" is not something that we poker players should concern ourselves with in the actual playing of hands. Table manners, etiquette and politeness are different, and in my opinion should be observed, but ignore the idiots chastising you at the table. Switch off the chat and count all of your new chips one by one.

also, after calling by mistake for 80, the maths suggest that the extra 60 is an auto-call, so bar your original (unfortunate) error, you play the hand without flaw from then on.

forget the abuse... who cares... in fact it will normally prove to be an advantage. After the first mistake it is without a doubt a call. It was a tiny reraise... which smells of 'an idiot playing Aces' - therefore you are not only getting pot odds to play, but your implied odds are huge.


two players all in - I was moving between tables and clicked the raise button while trying to select the table :rolleyes: , ended up winning a pot of about €160 with 9 7 off.... quality.
