old Sky Box

Hi, Hope someone can help me with this!
Recently got sky+ installed with multiroom, old Panasonic box was moved to master bedroom, I knew the modem was shagged in it but it was never a problem untill the installer said I might get a warning to plug it back in to a phone line because they might think the multiroom box was unplugged from a phone line

Then after a day or 2 a brainwave, I still had an old Grundig Digital box in a box in the spare room (brought it with me from my old house) and the modem should be fine in that one! Hooray!:D

So I put the multiroom card in the box did a New Installation and the Grundig box did a call back so everything seemed fine.But.......
The EPG menu comes up with catagories but when you enter a catagorie it says searching for listings. I can Press the up and down channel button on the sky remote and it changes channels fine, but the premium channels no longer work it gives the message " The wrong card is installed in this box" or something similar.

Question is: do I need to ring Sky in order to get them to pair up the card to the box or something?

Similar thing happened when sky plus was installed, the dozy installer put the new card in the new box and the old card was kept in the old box.
Rang Sky to tell them the PVR functions were still not turned on yet and he discovered the problem. Pretty common apparently. Anyway, He got the Serial numbers and card numbers from us and told us to swap 'em round.

Was turned on within the hour.
Do I need to ring sky or am I waisting my time?

    Harpie:)

I would think that a phone call and an explanation for the digibox swap is all that is called for.

My box was replaced and I get that message on "premium" channels, but since I don't subscribe to any premium content (and never likely to) I never bothered ringing Sky.

RTE used to be "married" to box, but no longer.
