They have a couple in Waltons and Musician inc, you should check them out in person. I have a Ric bass and, while it certainly is the prettiest bass I know and it sounds completely amazing, it isn't anywhere near as comfortable to play as other manufacturers. I'd say the guitars are pretty much the same. Only you will know if it'll work for you when you play one.

I'd love a Ric. I have a copy that i bought off Doc there. I love it, its a great banger of a guitar for messing around with at home. And you can get some mad sounds from it.

I agree with the Doc. I have a 4001, an unbalanced beast but the sound is great, some tone from it. I've attached a counter weight to my strap to make it playable and its pretty easy to hop about with now.

i think ill be the only one to disagree here, i dunno musta been the one we played cause ive heard recorded rics being so so so sweet but me and steoob played us one through a mesa boogie and everyting was set up good and it just sounded flat and dull, there just wasnt that pop that youd assosiate with somthing like a music man or a thunderbird, then again i have been told that those mesa/boogies arent all there cracked up to be and its my belief that it was either that or it was a fluke of a ****e rickenbacker.
