shindig at the pod

    i do medicine (second year) and one of my mates is bugging me to check out shindig at the pod on student night but i have a lab early on friday. i want to go and i might but this friend of mine is a bit of a waffler so i want to know how many ucd people actually go to it? im not interested in mixing with other colleges mainly because i have friends that go to them that i don't want to see (was bulliedat school)

    Pod-if thats the same as the red box-then yes it's packed with ucd's.Mainly country ones though after going to flannerys.I went there a bit last year on wed and thurs nites and good mix from all universities.You will meet no meds there though-im in third year in ucd and never met one person from any of the years and i pretty much no everyone in med at this stage. Dont worry about meeting people there from your old school-show them that you've moved on and dont let them stop you from enjoying yourself in college.You should be proud your doing medicine in college,dont let silly bullys from secondary school get the best of you any more!

    I've been there once and it is a good place to go from what I've seen. couldn't tell you how many ucd or non ucd folk go there, but at the time I was with a mix of people from different colleges.

    went there in first year a bit and liked it, there was a part of it called the chocolate bar that was nice, don't know if thats still there.
    hate running into people your happy to have forgotten:p

    The chocolate bar is long gone! So is the red box! Man they were good though! Is the pod the odeon just up from where the red box was?

    Okay, maybe you know this and if you do thats cool but pod is definitely a gay night club. Was there one friday a few months ago and as soon as we walked passed the bouncer he called after us "ye do know its a gay club dont ye lads". Tail. Legs. exit.
