Removing unwanted material from DVD

I know this has been discussed before, but I'll ask again just in case something new has come along.

I am currently thinking about backing up my DVD collection. This includes some ex-rental DVD's.

What is the best way to remove all those horrible trailers at the beginning of the DVD? I was thinking of using "DVD Shrink" but other suggestions welcome.

No doubt about it. Dvdshrink's the way to go. The re-author facility allows you to take just the film.

The creator of DVDShrink now works for Nero and is the driving forece behind their recode software package in Nero6/7.

I use the Nero version myself and a trial is still available, I think for a months usage.

    Its certainly worth the money!

I'll also give Nero Recode a try. Did I hear there were problems vith version 7?

Yeah DVDShrink is the shiznat. Totally easy to use while being powerful too. A trained monkey could use it while blindfolded!
