Ok here's the the thing my Pc has some sort of virus i'm sure of it. I've tried various scans i've deleted any adware or spyware(that i can). but there are still major problems.

I think the best thing to do is just to roboot the whole system

Is that the best option or does anyone have any other ideas

    Cheers

Well one annoying problem is that internet explorer randomly keeps closing down, constantly. Software wont run or runs slowly, constant pop up's when on the internet. Thats to name but a few. just overall problems. My Pc is 2 and a half years old by the way.

No i haven't tried rebooting already, should I?. How do i do so?

    Formatting???

Booting means shutting down your PC and starting up again.
Formatting means removing everything from your PC and starting again by re-installing your operating system and programs.

What OS are you using ?
    What Virus scanner ?
What programs are you having trouble with ?
How did you get rid of your adware/spyware ?

If its a virus, then a decent virus scanner will get rid of it. A crap virus scanner will be worse than most viruses.

hi before formatting you computer you should really try giving it a good ol clean "SCAN" scan for adware/spyware first. Then install a good Antivirus i find the demo of panda antivirus does the job pretty well, although If you install avast and the latest vps update first it starts a boot scan after its finished installing +it free for home users. After you have finished scanning. Download a program called cceaner the C for crap :) let it find and problems your system may have. click tools and have a look at what is starting up on you machine. remove anything you don’t think should be there and again reboot and run another anti virus scan. I would recommend scanning with at least two different type of anti virus scanner "because no one's perfect" ;) if all of the above doesn’t work then format the hell out of it. {TIP} just make sure you have all you drivers on disk.

    Hope all this helps

Panda anti-virus is some of the worst software I've ever seen. I got a PC in to fix with this on it, it was slowing the system down by about 80%.
It also had about 30 viruses/spyware on it, all of which just walked past the Panda.

AVG & Spybot will keep you clean.

Really? I found when servicing machines that Norton and MacAfee missed loads but panda picked up every thing! Still that’s why you should all ways scan with 2 antivirus programs! Better safe then sorry. ;) But yes panda will bring you to a crawl! I usually Install >> Scan >> Remove. Then Install some thing that won’t cripple a system.

Oh and has anyone here used bulldog antivirus. Opinions?
