Are this board and Google selectively offended?

Here's an interesting result. Do two Googles. On the first, search for "******" and on the second for "jew". Firstly, be amazed to see that the offensive term for "black or negro person" once used in Ireland to refer to a shade of brown isn't allowed on this board. Then be amazed to read the note at the top of the results for the second Googling.

Indeed, it is true that the wheel that squeaks gets the grease!

not quite following the point of this thread ....

Are you complaining that Google put a warning message beside the search "Jew" saying "The sites returned do not reflect the policy of Google Inc" or are you complaining that they don't put the same message up when you search for the word "n1gger"?

I would imagine the warning is there because some people have complained to Google about the anti-semetic webpages returned for the search "Jew"

If you feel strongly about the results returned for "n1gger" I suggest you write to Google. They probably would be happy to put up a similar warning

I suppose if you search for the word '******', racist websites are probably what you're looking for.

If you understood anything about how google works, then you'd realise how completely unrelated boards.ie's treatment of the words, and google's treatment of the words, are.

I see it's possible to write "snigger" on boards now.

Ironic that the people protesting against that j**watch page are helping it stay top of the Google rankings by bringing it to the attention of the googlebot!

That's because the spics don't run the Industrial Military Complex / The Illuminati / The Bilderburg Group. Whereas everyone knows the Jews do! :D
