I was just about to say, a bit of a tricky colour to play with.
I am thinking, little black baby doll dress with a fat satin orange ribbon just under your boobs, tied in a bow at your back. Stick with black shoes, a silver and orange chain, if you can find one, and the tiniest orange bag, same colour as the ribbon.

    PERFECT :D

well, no im a guy!! which kind of rules out the orange ribbon just under the boobs and i suppose the little black baby doll dress too...probably ;)

hehe, It sounded nice anyway Sillysausage!:D

Is it a really dressy party?
Or is it more of a casual dress party?

I found a very pretty dress....http://www.urbanoutfitters.com/shopping/product/detailmain.jsp?itemID=9784&itemType=PRODUCT&iMainCat=10&iSubCat=15&iProductID=9784 but I'm not sure if it's the right colours etc. If I was you, I'd go with orange SHOES ;)

plain black dress, when it comes to the orange, go for a dark auburn orange, morer of an autumn colour, accessorise with this orange only, orange shoes, bag, bracelet, necklace (get some copper/brass with orange coloured jewellery....syay away from mixing it with silver.....fairly cheap in the usual spots).....

I'd go for an orange ribbon around the waist or below chest.
Maybe some orange dangly earrings, some orangey red lipstick of it suits you.
An orange flower as a brooch would be nice too.
I wouldn't bother buying orange shoes as you'll never wear them again.

all black with an orange dickey-bow/tie.....or socks and when someone asks where your 'dash' is you can pull up your trouser leg!
Or you could dress all in black and get some orange thick paper from easons or an art shop and cut it into a lightning flash shape, stick it on your t-shirt..head..whatever, and go as dash gordon....'course as you get drunker you might find yourself singing 'ooo-ooohhh hes a miracle' and attacking 'Ming the merciless'....

perhaps even an orange belt if ye can locate one?

    Or black tie orange shirt...

If you have fair hair get one of those wash in wash out sachets of orange hair dye!!!
