    I know its short notice and that most (sensible) people have their heads down for exams but im heading into the Mezz (near temple bar music centre) tonight and thought i'd invite anyone who wanted a break away from studying.

    Basically theres a live cover band (whoopdedo i hear you say but they are actually excellent*). They usually play some Police, Rage against the Machine, Van Halen, Stevie Wonder, Pink Floyd, ACDC...etc etc.
    Theres no cover charge but pints are about 4.90 (if ya dont wanna drink you can just come in and enjoy the night). It's usually a good laugh with some dancing and talking to random students.

    Anyways i'll be there from about 10.15ish and will be catching the last nightlink home at 2am (band stops at 12.30 but theres a dj who plays till the place closes at 2). If ya wanna go but dont know where it is or dont know what i look like just pm meh for me numba :)

    *Apparently they lost their lead guitarist last week so im not totally sure what to expect as he was brilliant

    aye, i love the mezz :)

    The bands called white chocolate.. some of em play the odd time in break for the border in a band called "glitter bugs" or something. That said, in break for the border they are told to play some awful stuff but usually sneak in a good song or two (well they did the two times i seen em there).

    aye they are muffin man! Glad to find a kindred spirit. Was loosing all hope of findind anyone outside of my m8s who appreciated them.

    The night itself was a bit of a bust. The mezz closed at 12 (something about licencing requiring them to do so one week every year). White cholocolate just weren't the same without Philip Joyce (tho the new guy did a decent job). The main problem i guess was closing early.
    Went to Eamon dorans afterwards and just waffled with me m8s. Overall it coulda been better but meh :)
