Ok guys Im not sure how true this is but a few of my friends are training to be beauticians and they have been saying lately that Elizabeth Arden foundation makes ure face hairs grow if it is used for a long period of time!

Has anyone heard this same story?? Or more importantly, does anyone know how true this is?

A friend of mine uses it and sometimes her face looks slightly fluffy but i dont think it actually makes your face hair grow it just gives a weird fluffy appearance if put on wrong (well in her case if its absolutely lashed on).

:D I've been using it for years and I ain't got no hairy face..ha ha :D

They used to say that about Pond's moisturiser years ago...maybe thats why it's readly available in your local pound / euro shop now!! ;)

Certain creams that contain Steroids (normally prescribed for Acne) can cause the face to become hairy. I think Silcox Base used to do this but they changed the formulation.

no girls it doesnt make your face hairy

How ever it is meant to be only used for women who are over forty

if you are in your twenties its really bad for your skin as it stores in your pores which doesnt make your pores breath

My sis works with make up and she told me this as I used to use it all the time as it is so easy to apply

Check the ingredients for lanolin - that can encourage extra facial hair growth in some women.

Don't you think the problem at hand is girls with already hairy faces!?

The whole thing sounds like a bit of an urban myth really although I couldn't find anything on snopes.com about it!

Some women due to hormones and other factors can tend to be hairy, esp women who have gone thru menopause and lack a lot of oestrogen. Therefore perhaps its those women who are starting all these myths!;)

It's nigh on impossible to stimulate hair growth externally - do you not think there'd be shampoo that encourages hair growth if this was true?

And as for Vaseline, Lucy Liu has said that she used it as a moisturiser for years and she's hardly a bearded lady!

I heard that too about Elizabeth Arden and I do remember hearing that one of the ingredients contributed to hair growth!! dont know how true that is or not but the theory is definately out there!! also my friends eyelashes all fell out as of a result of using facewipes to take off eyemakeup and her beautition reccommended lathering vaseline on them at night to make them grow back and they did!!! Ive been using vaseline on mine for about 2 or 3 months now and people have been commenting on how long theyve gotten!! so dont know how that works out!!
