Anyone read this? Just finished, pretty good if a little long, lots of intereting characters. Found David's life very uplifting, his attitudes to love, romantic and platonic and all that. Anyone recommend another Dickens book after this one? Oh yeah, how much of this book was based on Dickens own life?

Great Expectations is what I'd read next. Also has autobiographical elements and is one of his better novels. Shorter than Copperfield too if I remember rightly.
