Just got Sky+ installed, it's the new 80GB Pace Sky+ bosca... It's got the old EPG software installed, sky+ 1.28.d with the dark blue banners at top and bottom and pressing 0 first doesn't bring up the Speaker icon

Question is, are Sky still sending out the new software?

Silly question... Did you try updating it?

    Probabily it will update itself.

I was just going to post the same question. I got a new Multiroom setup installed last week, SKY + box exact same as yours, old software. Regular digibox came with new software. Hopefully this means that Sky have copped on to at least roll-back to working version on new + boxes. Makes you wonder why they don't just roll out the previous version to all boxes until they sort out the glitches.

You have it a week now, and no change? Fingers crossed.

Exactly the same with me, Pace sky+ installed last Thursday with 160Gb disc, on old software (same version as other poster), whereas the old Pace box now being used for FTA is running the new lightblue software.

Live pause and rewind and all that malarkey are working fine, so maybe sky have suspended the updates?

    Ah well.

It came down of its own accord last night, I now have sky+ 1.30.q

Sh!t, that's bad news. I'm still on the old version but it seems it's only a matter of time.

WTF don't they stop the further rollout; they must know what a mess its in, it just makes no sense.

I also got the download last night. However, on tentative tests of live pause and rewind, it seems to be working OK.....?

Well I spoke too soon - it came down last night. But like the others on here, it's actually working okay.

    Hi paulhardman,

Am thinkin of upgradin to sky+ & the 3mth 1/2 price offer but lookin at your post-

Did you pay extra for the 160Gb disc or was just an upgrade cos i was always wonderin about which version u wud get if u upgraded?

Sorry about the questions on this just getting used to the lingo, but what is pvr1-3 are they related to the sat.boxes?

    Regards
    kduffy :)

    Hi,

I paid just the usual EUR69 for the sky+ box, didn't ask for anything in particular - the installer just turned up with it under his arm :)

Mine was a new install rather than an upgrade, so I don't know what you'd get.

PVR1-3 are references to the various models of the Sky+ box (PVR = Personal Video Recorder). Someone else who has been following this will be able to tell you the differences - I think mainly cosmetic and the size of the hard drive.

    paul
