i have a Logitech Z-5500 and the amp(that the right word?) has gone tits up.
Is there anywhere in dublin where i can get this repaired. I've contacted my supplier but have no response as yet so thought i'd ask the friendly people here :)

    Thanks for any assitance.

(perhaps i should have posted this in consumer electronics somewhere? If so i apologise and ask one of the mods to move it please)

you should try a standard issue electronics repair shop - any experienced electronics expert can help.

I know of none in Dublin - but my uncle has a shop here in dundalk and he's a genius at these kind of issues.

Doubt it'll cost you too much, look up repair shops in the golden pages or at www.goldenpages.ie - bound to be a good one.

Are you sure its the amp - could just be the PSU - similar thing happened to me on old boston acoustic speakers.

Im fairly sure as the unit turns on (gets power from the sub) and display comes on etc with info. It then starts "detecting" inputs and just sits there no matter what input type i choose.

Hadnt even thought of the golden pages, cheers for that :)

Try contacting Logitech directly - I found their customer care to be excellent.

May contact them again and ask if they got any certified repair shops in ireland to send it too.
