There must be plenty of shoe experts on this form so might aswell give this question a lash.

I have been wearing tan coloured shoes of late with dark navy / light black jeans , however on my gf seeing my new colour scheme gave me the lecture of how tan coloured shoes dont go with anything and why did you buy them etc you know the usual - why did you bring me shopping basically ??? . Needless to say I backed down and agreed with her . Now you know whos wearing the trouser in our relationship.

Anyway I thought they looked fine as I just but anything on without thinking much but does anyone know the definitive answer as to what you wear with tan shoes etc and what coloured jeans you wear with white shoes (loafers etc not runners ) aswell , as thats another one bugging me

    Cheers for the help

Depends on the colour of the tan (brightness etc).
    You got pics of them?
May also depend on style of shoe.

I hate to say it but your girlfriend may be right. Tan shoes can really only be worn by Italian men or men from the med. For some reason their dirty tanned skin and over styled hair can pull of the shoes with any clothes, blochy glow in the dark Irish men just cant do the shoes justice. If you really like them just wear them in the summer or autumn with tan pants other wise you look like you got them in an end of summer sale.
