I'm not trying to disrespect your opinion V but those guys are utter thieves.I was charged 700 punts for what in the end turned out to be an ideling valve needing a cleaning, They took it out, cleaned it, I was made to believe they replaced it with a new one,a month later I had the exact same problem which they claimed was something completly different. I only discovered what they had done when a mate with the same car, an opel omega, showed me how to fix it. I know, there's a sucker born everyday and that day was my day. I wouldn't touch them with a barge pole.I really dont have a problem paying for work that needs doing as long I'm sure the work is being done, trust is everything. I use a local guy to me but I wouldn't reccomend him simply because he works on modern cars all the time. I have used excelorator in cherryorchord for my Mustang, 55 euro an hour but I felt he knew what he was about and there was a lot of classics in there, he seemed to have a passion for them and he drives a Mustang himself. Hope you find a reliable guy.

    Hey Dubtom,

Thats a fair comment and also exacly what these boards are all about...Giving information and opinions on places that are good and bad.

We classic owners can be taken for a ride at times when people mistake us for wealthy individuals rather than just an individual with a passion for older cars.

Will take your comments onboard and inform others.

That could be it all right, If you drive in the entrance at the garage to the estate, follow the road around to the left their on your right, ask for Pete, he's the Mechanic and classic lover.
