Any recommendations for somewhere that would suit?

look for some where in the north of the island ... Alcudia or the like .. much better for families.

    Cala D'Or
    Puerto Pollensa

These are also good resorts for families, quiet but nicer resorts by far! ;)

going to resurrect this thread....heading to Majorca next May/June, looking to book our own accommodation so any recommendations on that and also where to stay, 2 adults, 2 kids (5+6), appreciate any replies even from folk who've had package deals and can comment on resorts, would also be great to hear from anyone who rented a car for a week or so and how they got on, TIA

I actually ended up going to Santa Ponsa!!
Stayed at the Jutlandia Apts. I would highly recommend these as the are on the edge of Santa Ponsa. They are near and far enough from the centre of things...5 mins walk and the same from the beach. Great entertainment for the kids day and night (esp if Chris the entertainer is still there)

    enjoy

Try Purto Pollensa if you are not into nightlife and want to totally relax somewhere safe for kids with good beach and choice of restaurants for adults. Alcudia is nearby if you want a bigger resort.

For accommodation try www.puertopollensa.com - excellent site. there are also many private owners renting on sites called pollensapines and Irentmyvilla. Some are expensive...

Both arelingus and ryanair fly to plama which is only an hour from the resort. have had several excellent holdidays there.

    Enjoy:)

Get the falcon brochure, they are the best if you have kids.
