I remember this show used to be on after the Den i think, it was an English show, a group of young people who ran a news gazette type thing, anyone know the name of it? I can only remember one character, his name was Dexter or something, or maybe that was his real name

Press Gang-what a great show. I think the character you're thinking about was called Spike and his real name was Dexter something. I think the main female character was called Linda or something, and the actress who played her went on to play the daughter in Absolutely Fabulous

Yeah, that's the one alright. Didn't think much of it myself but, meh, each to their own, I guess.

Dexter Fletcher. Twat! To this day I've never forgiven him for the shambles he made of presenting the third series of GamesMaster. He was f**king dire! Thank God they brought back Dominic Diamond after that.

I remember they all seemed grown up beyond their years which made you think "wow, they're so cool!". However I'd imagine if I saw an ep today I'd probably think they were a bunch of little facist Thatcherite twats.

    Hehe!

Dexter: Don't come crying to me just because you've no friends.

Julia: I'll have you know I make plenty of friends.

    Dexter: Yes, but into what?

Or something like that. Colin was always my favourite character. He was always trying to make money.

Didn't Dexter Fletcher appear in Lock Stock and Layer Cake in recent years.

I used like that Press Gang as a kid.

Dexter Fletcher was recently in "Band of Brothers" as John martin....

But!!!! He played alongside Al Pacino in "Revolution" as his son - (Sid Owen plays his son when he was younger-bizarre)

It's up there with Leo Dowling(Dave Duffy) from Fair City playing alongside Harvey Keitel in "Young Americans".....
