Can I get away from these hands?

As i've stated a couple of times, my cash games skills are very poor. Being an stt player, i'm not used to having to make big laydowns, and i think this hurts my cash game. I've been playing the $25 max buy in NLH on party, and twice i went broke for my buy in(15) on the exact same type hands. Are these easy folds?

Well I'm no cash expert either but I don't think you did much wrong there. I think the only time the bad kicker might make a difference would be if you had a large stack. Then you might just call the opponent down. Very hard to let go at this level when I assume the range could be huge. Unless you know your opponents well and know for sure their betting shows no fear of trips.

In the second hand, the other player had been moderately aggressive, often firing on at least one street when in position. I felt if i check, and then check raised him on the turn, i could get all my money in when he's either bluffing or holds a queen. Also, the hand ranges are huge here, where opponents will play AKQJ-anything, and then other one space connectors, like 8-10.

The problem with hitting trips with a small kicker (and by extension limping in with weak hands) is that because everyone can see the paired board, you're unlikely to get much action unless you're beaten (which makes them quite different to sets). In the first hand I think you should at least be trying to play a smaller pot and shouldn't put in the third bet on the turn. In the second hand, you have so little left I don't think there's much getting away from it.

Yeah, when i look at it, the min raise on the turn should have set off alarm bells in the first hand. That's good indication that he has it, but then what? Call the min raise and check the river, hoping he doesn't bet big?

This is probably the best, and most players at this level never bet big with their strong hands anyway.

He wont bet big, but you can fold to a big bet if you want. He has an 8 as well so its just a question of if you think he is likely to have a better kicker.

Situation 2 no. Situation 1 - yes. loose call preflop with T8o. I'd have folded that junk.

i have found at this level that a reraise usually means your beat especially when your kicker is weak. these guys don't reraise with top pair and usually only with a monster. i have never seen anyone at this level reraise bluffing and if they call a rereraise your definitely goosed.

Would that be a reraise, or a rerererereraise? I'm not sure what you mean here.

I think the first hand you can tell he has a big hand when he min raises you. A8 is probably one of the weakest hands he can have here. The second hand you played badly, but you should lose your tank anyway.
