We are having great difficulty with the server at the moment. It seems they rebooted it with the previous days data and at the moment there is no ftp access for us to re-do the front page and Cork updates.

I had to leave before the final, there were still 15 left and they took some money off the top to make sure everybody who came back tosay would get at least €500 back.

    Of the Irish:

    Vivian 42k
    Mike Breen 82k
    Owen Mullins 43k
    Leslie McLean 40k
    Derek Murray 29k
Paddy Power qualifier Scott Paterson 40k
Chip leader is a frenchman with 150,600, Breen is in second. Average was 42k.

Roy Brindley went out just after me, Rumit Somayai and Andrew Stewart folled soon after.

Down to six, Derek "the dangerous" one of the chip leaders.

3 now, Mike Breen an Online Qualifier from Kerry is the new chipleader having come from behind to hit quads. Mike hit a two outer to bust Roy Brindley last night.

Main event finished around 10ish. Winner was from Waterford I think, but didn't get his name. Chap from Kerry was 2nd. Information sketchy as I was playing the 250 game while they were finishing. Card dead in that apart from AJs which found A3! Went out 1st hand after break when I pushed from co with only 6BB left with AQ and BB woke up with AK. Nicky OD was still there with a healthy stack when I left. Watch out for his report - contains a very funny AA hand.

Nicky Power won and Mike Breen was Second. Roy Brindley and Kevin Killeen made the final table of €250 freezeout, no details on result yet though.

There was a deal done in the last 4 of the 250. The shorties definitely got the better deal because they both had 40K with blinds 5K/10K. From what I heard of the deal from Gavin Stevens it was the worst deal ever as the CL had 180K at the time. I can't confirm the exact details as I was busy getting 2 outered for a €500 pot in the cash game at the time but I believ Tom Gilroy was the overall winner. I went out on the last 2 tables when I ran QQ into Roy Brindleys KK.

The winner, Nicky Power, is a mate of mine and is a regular on the tables in Waterford. A great reader of players, we're 2-2 in heads up at the moment but his bank roll and balls are considerably bigger than mine and he's been taking some good tournies lately.

Probably the best player in Waterford at the moment, you'll be hearing a lot more about him in the future. It's on the poker channel on Wednesday night for those interested.

    250 game was good craic.

horrible start for me having to lay down top pair in 3 pots in the first 30 mins. proved correct in 2 of them, the 3rd im not so sure.

battled to get back to starting stack and then double through a couple of times with 1010 v AQ and AK v ~55. blinds really started to bite though and during a dry spell i just couldnt get back up past 10bbs.

lasted til 13th place with constant all ins with any ace in late pos until A6 met Aq in the sb and i was out.

great tourney, great structure but one of the poorest fields ive seen in a decent level buyin event. half were gone by the break!

pics etc from the main event should be on antes up as soon as i get them to mike.
