Im seriously thinking about putting a humbucker in the bridge position of my strat. Ive sort of narrowed it down to either a little '59 or cool rails (im thinking hot rails might be overkill). Anyone got any experience/comments with the above . Also im not sure if i need to up the resistance to 500k for the humbucker or whether 250k will work, im thinking stick with 250k and up it if the humbucker sounds too muddy ?
I was also thinking of replacing the last tone pot with a push/pull pot and then use the dial as a coil-split blender and use the push/pull switch as a bridge pickup on/off switch.

    Anyway any comments apprieciated.

well i was looking at the jb jnr but alot of ppl complained about the high mids, i was also thinking it might be a little too hot compaired to the other single coils ?

it is... but that's because they're single coils.. what are you expecting from a humbucker?

I want something that will add a bit of kick to the strat but not completly change its character.

Btw did you keep you pots as standard 250k ones ? Is there a big volume difference between the jb jnr and the single coils ?

there is a noticable difference in volume with regards to the clean sounds, but not with distortion, all pots remain the same.
