Im thinking of getting this camera for my girlfriend. It has a funky look and not too shabby at 4mp. Nice big LCD too. the only thing Im concerned about is the battery life. It has a Rechargeable lithium-ion battery, and some reviews online suggest getting a second battery as backup. I have a feeling this will be quite expensive.

Would I be better off getting a camera that uses standard AA batterys?

And what do you guys think of the camera overall? Have you used one before?

If your gonna get this, have a look in the Dublin Camera exchange,
I got the newer version 5MP of this camera (mini mju digital s) for 300euro and got a free case and spare battery for it, also got the waterproof casing for 65 instead of 100 and a good deal on a memory card.

On a night out ill bring the extra battery along aswell, and between the two batteries normally last the night.

Its a pretty cool camera but compared to my s5500 its very slow and i feel fairly limited in what i can do with it. it takes decent pictures tho can send you a few samples if you want

I do like that its so small and weatherproof so should stand up to spilt pints and fallig over

afaik know there were changes made to the electronics for the newer camera so it could have a better battery than the older one, i think i read somewhere its also a bit faster
