I have a Goodmans 14"tv built in dvd in the spare room. Its 4 days out of garrantee and the screen has gone very dark even with the brightness turned right up? Is there any setting that can be done to it or is it a job for the repairman?

Probably not economical to get it fixed. Does banging the top fix it.... If it does, the tube is probably damaged.

Have tried banging it. I thought what with the price of these, it would not be worth getting looked at. Thanks.
