The Triumph stud spacing is very close to the Nissan/Mitsubishi spacing. I got a rim from a Space Star to fit on to my Triumph 2000 studs but it was catching the shock absorber so you will have to be careful of the wheels offset.

You'll need to find out the following measurements of your current wheels PCD (pitch circle diameter)centre of one bolt to centre of opposite bolt, offset (lateral position of tyre compared to position of wheel studs) and overall diameter. I think Triumph Stags ran a 14 inch 4 stud 4.5inch PCD pattern and are similar to Reliant Scimitar wheels but You'd want to research that. Moving from a 14inch to a 17 inch wheel will require you to run an elastic band boy racer style tyre to acheive the original overall wheel diameter.Your speedo and handling will be off otherwise.I think this would look preety wrong on a stag plus finding 17inch wheels to fit will be fairly damn hard I would think.Maybe 15inch might be a better compromise. If you look at a few wheel sites you'll get a better idea of what I'm going on about.

    ADAM,

We have a fair few stags in our club, the Triumph Classic Owners Club, www.triumphsireland.com, . We have one or two very knowledgeable members that could advise on all things Stag.

    Seasons wishes,
