NTL Digital to TV without SCART

    Hi,

Just got the new PACE STB from NTL. It has 2 SCART connections on the back and RF (coax) in and out. With the old STB, we were able to use the RF out to watch the digital on other TVs in the house. However, with the new one (with RF out connected to the TV and SCART disconnected) we can't get the TV to tune into it.

Works fine using SCART on the AV channel.

Do any of you know how to get it working? Can it be connected without using SCART and if not what's the point of the RF out? What frequency does the STB output on?

    Many thanks.

dunno the actual freq but try this:

with scart connected bring up the epg - press 'guide'
disconnect scart & connect an rf
tune your tv til you find the epg screen - this should be the output of the box

same as tuning in a vcr etc to a tv

The rf output on the new boxes is basic signal only. It doesn't send the dtv stations out on it,only via the scart.

Stops you doing what you're trying to do but thats easy to get around.;)
