    That would be BONDI

Hmmm, I think hiring out a cruise boat......or something similar would be the go....have an 80's cocktail party, or would that be 90's........arrrrrrrgh

Why have it in Dublin? Rent a lighthouse, invite loads of friends (and charge them a nominal fee to cover rental as it can be expensive), bring loads of drinks and music...

A hotel then would be the obvious choice. What county are you in?

I'd say chose a nice classy hotel and get in a DJ for the night and and have the hotel russell up finger food, Buffalo wings cocktail sausages sandwiches etc. Invite plenty friends and book about a month in advance, also check the local social calendar in case some other event would be clashing with your birthday. Plus you don't have to hold it on the day of your birthday although it is nice if possible.

How about trying to rent out a screen from a cinema? something to do for two hrs! then go to your function room from there.

you should try to go abroad, because you can get sick of going to the same ol' 21st's in rented halls etc.
i went to thailand for mine in september, but i broke my neck on the day!!
