Anyone know where the cheapest laptop in Dublin/Ireland is? I'm looking for something new and modern before xmas. It's a gift for a kid so doesn't need to be massively powerful.

I was buying some workstations today, and noticed dell had inspiron units from 549, the specs are not that high but might get you by.

At least get 512mb ram or in a year or it will be worthless

Dirt cheap - the €549 inspiron 1300 is a good idea, then add 256mb memory from shop4memory.com = pretty much your cheapest option.
