NTL Modem

    NTL Modem.

    I have one of those blue semi transparent yokes that stand on their side, i have a 3mb connection. I don't have a seperate router.

    Is there anyway i can update the software for it?

    No and you don't need to, the modems are completely managed by NTL.

    Is the ntl modem also a router?
    I have a network switch, will i be able to share the net connection across 3 pcs or will i need a router?

    It is just a modem.

    You will need a router to share it.

    A Linksys WRT54GL should work with it shouldnt it or is it better to go for a cable modem/router?
