SKY+ Losing settings

    I have a SKY+ box with latest software rev. Over the past week or so I have noticed that settings such as picture width, volume, background music and adult channels on/off are being reset even though I save them each time I notice them change. Have emailed sky but no reply yet. Anyone else experience this ?

    Yes, I have this problem too, each night the box resets from 16:9 to 4:3 mode, from RGB to PAL, turns off the RF power supply for the second TV in the bedroom and all other settings reset to the default.

    Have tried forced software download but it keeps on happening.

    I think the only thing is to ring Sky and organise a replacement.

    My box is out of warranty, was hoping is wasn't a hardware failure, not sure if there is a lithium battery backup for these settings or if they are written to the harddisk ? Had posted this elsewhere and seems like a few others are having the same issue.

    A couple of months ago I noticed that my SKY+ box would reset itself (sound, picture, + recording settings and parental control all reset to defaults. I have was unable to associate it with an event until this week. It seems to always coincide with using the interactive features of either Sky News or Sports.

    New box?

    Sometimes if you cancel with excuse box is broken and you can't afford a new one they offer a new one. Sometimes they let you cancel :)
