    Yes, she went to Abba and they said she could use it. Abba usually don't give permission for sampling though.

    Madonna herself has been sampled loads of time too, of course.

    I disagree. It sounds completely out of place with the backbeat of the song. A possible answer would have been to take the riff and replicate it with a more modern sound if she was that keen to pay dues to Abba.

    Apparently, Guy walked out on Madonna's new album saying it was rubbish. Would loved to have been a fly on the wall in their home that night.

    Did someone say Abba?

    Abba only gave 1 more band permission to sample one of their master recordings and that was The Fugees back in 2000. Many people cover their material but the original recordings are closely guarded even though they are said to get hundreds of sampling requests per year.
