According to GamesAreFun, Animal Crossing: Wild World sold over 320,000 units in its first week on sale.

This is pretty big. I have the GBA AC and the GameCube one, but niether held my interest for too long. Is anyone going to buy WW when it comes out?

The main reason to buy AC is wifi. I quite liked the Gamecube version except I got bored after a while, it felt like an online game that wasnt online.

However the DS version will allow you to visit people's towns and interact with them, also people will visit your town, real life people. Sounds pretty damn cool to me

Also I have a link to a reliable eBay seller who is selling the US AC when its out next week for 32Eur incl P+P which is pretty good deal, you'll get it before Xmas too

From what I've heard from Japan, it's a must-have game, all the hype is making me want to import it and this stage, maybe I'll go ebay on it, some good prices there. I hear there is a chat function in it, though I'm not exactly sure how it works.

Sorry, I was thinking of Harvest Moon. Much the same idea, really.

I didn't take to Harvest Moon at all for some reason.

It all seemed overly complicated... I prefered the simple life of Animal Crossing.

Animal Crossing WW has a great 6 page write up in this months GAMEStm magazine.

i would of probably really liked it if i spent more time at it

takes way to long to get into it

What wifi network? DS uses standard internet, you just need a local wireless access point for access, no?

Sorry, I mean the EU matchmaking servers and whatnot that you actually go through to connect to other ds's

i.e. will a us copy of the game have trouble connecting to a EU server or will it connect to a US one and give me a bad ping?

    Ah, I see

ya and if you do get into a european server there will probably be very few people there
