Autogks a pretty handy tool. Takes while to do, depending on your system.

dvd decrypter is handy out, then you can use flaskmpeg to compress them in to multiple formats avi/divx/xvid etc

Have a look for Gordian Knot. Best all-in-one solution whereby you can speficy the exact size of the compressed AVI (once you have configured everything properly).
