Is there anywhere to get nice sandwiches in Ranelagh?

The SPAR is O.K. but they don't really seem to put any pride in their sandwiches as they do in other SPARs (Camden St for example). Plus the hot food counter in Ranelagh ain't the most appetising.

Never tried Centra but again the stuff their don't look too appetising.

I may try the little corner cafe opposite Antiqua Venicia (Sp?) that sells the Italian sambos. They are very salty though!

Any where else for take away?

why do people never make their own sandwiches anymore? so much cheaper and your not asked 40 quesions about the bread you want

I dont know about Ranelagh but if you want the nicest tuna and mayo sandwhich ever, the Spar opposite parkwest makes it. And all for only 2.60!

Cos if you make Tuna sandwiches more than an hour before you eat them, the bread ends up all soggy and crappy.

If you walk up to the Swan Centre theres Cafe Kylemore if you fancy sitting down, they do paninis and salads etc too.. or Dunnes if you want something quick and cheap, Dunnes sambos are quite tasty too IMO..

Hobarts make nice food, if you wanna sit down and eat it. I love their hangover special.

what if you put the tuna in tin foil and then when it's time to eat remove the tinfoil, no soggy bread no dry tuna

i second this. Hobarts is essential saturday fare.

Theres an Italian place that does really nice paninis and ciabattas up beside humphreys/smythes if your set on the sambos.
