    Hey folks,

has anyone heard this ad on the radio? Supposedly until Christmas, paintballing is free in Kart City, except you have to pay for ammo.

Has anyone availed of this offer? What's the catch? The cost of ammo has gone up 500%?

Thanks, I've been wanting to get some people together to go paintballing

I'll just try once more -- anyone got any more info on it? It doesn't mention it on the kartcity website...

its €10 for 100 paintballs and admission is free if you have more than 10 people.

just pay for the balls you use.

That's the thing, you easily use up almost 1000 balls in an afternoon if you spray like wild. It's where they get the money :D

How long can you play for with the group of 10 or more? The whole day?

Usually morning or afternoon, aprox 3-4 hours. Trust me, it's long enough - specially if you're new.

Ring them and ask but chances are very very slim

 Don't go! I was there last week and the place is lethal! It's a confined enough space covered in a net (so you don't shoot down the plane I suppose!!).

There are large areas basically covered up with with large pieces broken up tarmacadam (a recipe for a broken ankle)

The pathways within the confinement are made of wood. The night we went, it was slightly damp, and the pathways were like an ice-rink (madness) For example, there are a few 40ft containers which were the 'bases' that had also the wooden floors. Fcuking death traps. And all this after signing you insurance waiver at the beginning!!!

My advise is, STAY WELL CLEAR OF THIS PLACE!! I was at the one in Roundwood, Wicklow last year, and it was a 100 times better. And as far as I can remember, no insurance waivers either!

EDIT: Oh and I forgot, half the lights went out for the last two games so we were in virtual darkness. We initally thought it was part of the 'fun' and 'enjoyment' but we subsequently found out one of the fuse boards had gone up in smoke!!
