Hi folks, ive been getting the odd automatic system reboot with a system error in event history with reference to a bugcheck error on my new machine.
When i follow the error ID i cant track the exact eror down but it is referred to by microsoft as a c2 error.
They dont have any real explanation or fix but do suggest changing what my system does in the event of this error.
The recommend going into startup and recovery and in system failure area they say i should untick the "automatically restart" tab.
Just wondering what you guys think of this?
I dont know if this is normal or whether this was turned off on my old machine.
Maybe windows itself is dodgy in the way it reacts to small un-harmful errors and just automatically reboots?
Would i be risking anything by turning auto reboot off?

It basically halts on the blue screen, and doesn't restart, allowing you to view exactly what the error message is. Should be the default behaviur tbh. If you press f8 during windows loading, you can disable it (temporarily) from the menu that appears, handy if you're getting a boot up blue screen.
