The "farmers shopping day" doesn't happen any more. This is the new improved Ireland and people don't need to travel to Dublin any more to shop. I speak authoritatively on this subject as I'm in retail in the city centre.

yeah, the coca cola politically correct "holiday" jingle, same with the old "seasons greetings". many never mention christmas in their ads.
the little kids skulled off their head on caffeine, up so late on the stimulant that they start to have visions of a dodgy old fat bloke in a red suit.

Halloween is far better than christmas. You get away with a hell of alot more on Halloween night than you do at Christmas. Christmas=needless expenditure on sh**e you wouldn't buy at any other time of the year. Fair enough if you're a devout Catholic and you celebrate it religously, but it's just gone crazy! anyone?

aaah i do love the christmas buzz.I make a point of waiting until today [1st dec] every year to start celebrating it!!!!

    happy christmas boardsies

Totally agree. Christmas just means a piss up to me and having to drag your sorry hungover ass to the table for dinner xmas day.

I want to see a Diet Coke Santa, with white clothes and red fur trim. It's only a matter of time before they go for that market demographic.
