I've just been offered a 1969 Ford Escort 2 door with a lotus twin cam engine, 40mm carbs in excellent condition for ZAR 55000. The only snag is its in South Africa, if anybody's interested let me know and i can give you more information.

i assume it isnt a Escort twin cam but as you say an escort with a lotus engine.....first one worth a fortune...second one still quite a valuble car...i think R55000 is only a couple of €grand.......i know of a mk2 escort 1300 gt sold for €8000 recently......big money in 2 door escys nowadays.........

There's big money in 2door Escorts alright. Just a couple of years ago people were digging holes in their backyards and burying them because they were worthless.... how things have changed.

I only got the photos last night but i would say the car is as described. Any dealings I have had with this man in South Africa have always been 100%. As far as I know shipping would cost between 700 euros and 1000 euros but you also have outside EU taxes but the upside is no rust. If you want more details send me a PM and i'll put you in touch with the owner.
