Which fan controller?

I'm going to get a mate to add a fan controller into his Komplett order for me but don't know which one to choose.

I've got a PC in the box bedroom running Media Center and its very noisy cos I have the fans on full blast to be safe. Silence isnt a priority as I am watching its content through an Extender downstairs, but its annoying me at this noise.

    Here's the fans I have :

-CPU: its a BitStorm supposedly silent fan or something like that
-PSU: reckon this one might be noisy
-case fan: think this is a noisy one aswell
    -North bridge
    -South bridge
    -Graphics card (Sapphire Radeon X700PRO)

What fan controller do you think I should go for from the following list: http://www.komplett.ie/k/kl.asp?bn=10539

The Akaska looks great but my machine is already built and has some usb and audio connections at the front so how would I hook these up or would I have to leave them dead?

Would the Zalman do the job (without the bells and whistles of card readers and I/O ports)?

    Thanks

I dont think you can control GFX/PSU/ Sbrigde/Nbridge with a fan controller ?. There are usually throttled by either the mobo/psu itself or the GFX card. I could be wrong but i have not seen a fan controller with those small connectors that those fans use.

Fair enough, I was wondering about that alright.

So what computer would have 6 other fans apart from gfx card and bridges? Just wondering cos the zalman can control 6 fans.

Is it literally just a manual way of turning them up and down without opening the case or can it be set to do intelligent things like keep it at a certain temperature?

This setting should be available in BIOS.

apologies Roamer - I don't have a clue on this area.

Do you mean that the settings for the north&south bridge and gfx card fans is in the BIOS or are you saying the CPU, case, PSU fans can be set in the BIOS (in which case I can't see a need for the fan controller)?

Or, are you saying that a specific temperature for the fan controller to trigger an alarm for can be set in the BIOS?

    Thanks
