I want to buy golf lessons for my Dad as a christmas present. I did a quick google, but most of the hits were for places outside Dublin.

Does anyone know of a place in Dublin I could get good golf lessons. He isnt a member of a club, so presumably it would have to be at a public golf course.

    Based in Dundrum.

I know nothing about golf so excuse me if this is a stupid question. Do you mean I can call any golf club as ask for lessons and they will give the lessons in the golf course without you being a member? or do you mean you will get the lessons at the nearest public golf course.

yeah you just call the pro chop at any club and they will tell you about lessons, the grange, edmonstown etc are near you or at stepaside driving range there are 3 or 4 pro's that teach there, they have a website:
    http://www.stepasidegolf.com/tuition.htm

a guy gary hendly alos teaches there he has a website too.

the range is good because you can go in the evenings when it is dark for the lessons..

30 for half an hour... maybe a bit cheaper if you are buying a few.
