Number of Trains to Enfield Reducing next year

    Hi,

I just had a quick look at the Irish Rail website to see if there would be any improvements to the train service that runs from Connolly to Enfield. Much to my dismay is that there are actually less trains stopping in Enfield in the evenings not more. Why don't Irish Rail try and build up the service to and from Enfield. It is only two stops further than Maynooth and with the expanding population in both Kilcock and Enfield, surely it would make sense to extend the commuter line out to Enfield or am I missing something?

Doesn't make much sense to reduce the service when both Kilcock & Enfield are building loads of new housing estates. I guess IE felt the greater need was on the existing Maynooth-terminating services.
It's a pity they can't improve suburban services without harming outer suburban ones.

They don't care and ignore any approach made to them to improve any element of the service. Complain all you want they won't listen

Its not political as Martin Cullen will say timetabling is a matter for IE, though he has no issue with cashing in on the new timetable yesterday for a bit of PR

I have a complaint in related to the Sligo line already

Its all so simple the 1900 service should call all stations Maynooth Sligo it works is quick and has no effect on other services
