Now that Symantec has bought and killed the development of sygate personal firewall. I only recently installed it and found it better than zonealarm. but now they have it killed any suggestions on an alternative and i am not going to install norton firewall.

    Kerio Personal Firewall.

If you have an nforce 4 motherboard, the built in nvidia firewall is pretty good too.

Don't think it does - as far as I know it just applies to the built in ethernet port, as it makes use of hardware on the motherboard to filter packets, in order to reduce load on the cpu. Not 100% sure on that though!

    Have they fixed ZoneAlarm ?

I was a very happy user(even bought the Pro edition) until they brought out V 6 which nearly crippled my PC.
    Changed to Sygate.

Yeah I preferred the older versions too, a lot less nagging and reminders to buy.
