Decided to add Arabsat back to my satellite list, a quick scan and I am picking up a large amount of channels on it, stuff that is supposedly on the middle eastern beam according to lyngsat?!

Wondering if anyone can get anything on 11642 H 27500 3/4 this tp has MBC channels on it, people in ireland in the past I read managed to get this channel some time back, perhaps it has switched beams?

    What size dish?

(Before I waste time hooking up laptop receiver to program in the missing Arabsat!).
If it was 2/3 FEC i'd suspect mis-aligned dish and Sky reception! :)

Im using a 1m dish and .3db lnb. Although also noticed mbc is also on the analogue beam as well which has a european footprint.

The MBC channels on Arabsat moved middle eastwards I think a year or so ago, I think it was maybe something Rupert said plus all the English language movies on MBC had subtitles instead of the dreaded dubbing!!!

As the lady of the house is an Arab we have one Triax 1.1mt dish with a .6db LNB looking at Arabsat 26.2. I'm located about 45 kms north east of Antwerp,Belgium and Arabsat never drops out but not a squeak of MBC but we do get some of them on Nilesat!!!
How do you get Nilesat??? The best signals are those educational channels!!!

    Let me know!!!

Thanks for the headsup, would explain why reception of some channels on the same beam come in and not those. Was a shame, it had good programmes on it. My reception of Nilesat is non existent :)

You'll have to get the 3 meter dish up and running!!! Lots on Nilesat if you understand Arabic or like the music or soap operas. Lucky the wife is happy to with headphones or I would have retired to the shed!!!
