The charter (rules) of the Christianity board
The purpose of this board is to discuss Christian belief in general, and specific elements of it, between Christians and non-Christians alike. It has the additional purpose of being a point on boards.ie where Christians may ask other Christians questions about their shared faith.
In keeping with that purpose, please be honest about your faith where it makes a clear difference to your answer. This isn't "Personal Issues"... if a person comes here with a problem, it is probably because they think a Christian answer will be more relevant to them. This is not to discourage non-Christians replying, it is simply a matter of courtesy.
Arguments such as "There is no God, therefore..." will not be tolerated. Don't start off with a conclusion which your audience is bound to disagree with!
Crazy fundamentalist bigotry will not be tolerated. Remember, God loves every one of his children.
If anyone wants to post up an event or something like it as a sticky, PM me the details. This will be provided as an information service, not as an endorsement.
Do not post anything intended to inflame or insult. This is meant to be a place of debate where you can challenge ideas all you like but don't go outside boundaries of taste or decency and don't get personal.

    Good Rules!!!!

Apparently Christians of the Catholic persuasion need not bother showing up.

I'm sorry but I for one dont see it like that.

Correct me if I'm wrong but is this coming from the locked post you did previously. I suspect that the issue there was that you appeared to be just duplicating the content of a papal weekly text, the fact that it was just a duplication which was the issue not the content or the source. (I'm assuming but thats what I picked up from Excelsior reply) :)

Now I for one would be interested in such things, but dont really need a weekly update each week. Now a link to where you get the statements from is more than acceptable and only needs to be done once and is the sort of thing which may warrant a sticky even and maybe a wee bit of text as to why you find then useful or enlighting would be nice.

    Its simply a misunderstanding.
