Sky + Upgrade

    Hi

    I currently have regular sky digital with Sky Sports. I want to upgrade to Sky +. What is the best way to proceed ?

    On the Sky Digital website, they quote €299 for the box and €75 for installation. Is this the best deal available ?

    Would I be better to close my current account, and then sign up again as a new customer and avail of whatever discounts ( €100 possibly ) that are available ?

    I have had my account for 3 years so I am out of contract with them.

    I don't want to get sky multi-room, but I would like to use my regular sky box to recieve free to air channels in another room. How much can I expect to pay to have someone set this up for me too ?

    I live in the Waterford area btw.

    Sky have some good offers at the moment for sky+ although I am not sure if you have to get multiroom to avail of it. I'd give them a ring.

    Thanks for the reply. Just called Sky and the offer is very good.

    To compare - what I wanted was just to upgrade my regular sky box to sky +. This was going to cost €299 + €75 installation.

    Sky's special offer was - upgrade to Sky + and Multi-room. This costs €69 per sky + box ( €138 ) and 1 years subscriptions to Multi-room ( €15 per month )
    Total cost = €318

    Not bad !
