    Hi lads my cousin is looking to get irish broadband but his comp doesnt have a lan/eternet port for it just usb and the normal net. Is there anyway around this at all? or is there different companys

    He could put a network card into his computer. They're about 20 euro at maplin or 30 euro in peats. The peats one would probably be a respectable brand though.

    I dunno what kind of cards/routers they sell/give out but many routers can be connected to your computer with the usb port.

    Irish broadband requires an ethernet port or router. Won't work with USB. Do as the lads above suggest and buy a network card. Dead cheap and easy e nough to install. Post back here if u have probs.

    IBB had some USB ripwave units, but the drivers are buggy as hell to it was dropped.

    You could get a NIC for €5 on the FS board, maybe even less!
