Unbelievably sad story... god only knows what the poor boyfriend must be going through.

Anyone here got life-threatening allergy?

Awful story. never knew an allergy could be so serious. 9 hours after he ate the sandwich and it killed her. It's horrible alright.

It's happened before, must be terrible for the people involved. My brother's girlfriend is allergic to mint, makes her swell up like a grapefruit. He has to use strawberry toothpaste to brush his teeth so he can kiss her.

There was a British athlete who was predicted for big things who died from a peanut alergy around 7 years ago too. Its a strange one.

Most supermarkets stock it. It's actually kids' toothpaste for children who find mint too strong.

I know someone violently allergic to peanuts.... slightest trace of dust from them will end them up in hospital for the night... that story is terrible though

I read that story in today's indo, it's really awful I'm so glad I have no allergies like that, the poor boyfriend must be feeling in absolute bits.

The worst thing is apparently peanut allergies are mainly due to the way the peanuts are actually processed and not simply due to the the nut itself in its natural state.

that is really sad

i get quite sick if i eat peanuts, but dont get the physical side effects, its not too severe, but if i even smell them, my stomach turns..cant imagine what'd it be like to be severly allergic

If that doesn't scar you for life, nothing will.

I've a small allergy to the active ingredient in Aspirin, makes me throw up like crazy and then all is OK again.
