I would like to get the boyfriend a poker set with chips, cards and the green mat thingy. I am seeing them everywhere all for various prices.

Can anyone recommend a good set that is not too heavy or large (he would have to lugg it home on plane). I have seen some in Dunnes and Easons already.

    Hey Clar

I also bought the chips from djkeogh, they are great value.
However if you want to buy a table top I recommend this site.
    http://www.drinkstuff.com/

I have priced a table I bought on this site compared to one from the site karlh recommends and its about €35 cheaper with drinkstuff and that's after delivery from the UK.

    Good Luck
    Chef.

Thanks for the advice but i had no intention of paying those prices for the poker set as it was only a stocking filler.

Ended up buying him a set with 200 chips, cards etc. in Heatons for €12 and it will do the job nicely.

I know what you're saying, but if i got that set you're talking about.. I'd cringe.

But its the thought that counts :p
